Why Lose Body Fat?
Because
Losing It
Just Might Save Your Life!
Seriously. Think of the organs you need to live (heart, lungs, kidney, liver, gall bladder) surrounded by
5-20 pounds of that nasty yellow fat you strip off chicken before eating it ... literally squeezing the life right out of
you. Dramatic ... certainly. An exaggeration? Unfortunately, no.
The statistics are frightening, and worsening every day. Excessive body fat
inhibits the body's natural defense systems from properly flushing toxins, and may result in high cholesterol, high
blood pressure, sleep disorders, arthritis, diabetes, infertility, stroke, heart disease, kidney stones, impotence and several
forms of cancer.
Body
fat and obesity can limit your physical activities and enjoyment of life. It will prematurely age you, and worse, may
even shorten your life span.
You might be self-assured
about your weight and your looks, or may be less confident ... camouflaging with layers and body shapers.
Either way, the "primary concern of overweight and obesity is one of health, not of appearance," reports
the U.S. Office of the Surgeon General. The reality is ... body fat is a deadly enemy, silently waiting to attack your organs, lifestyle and self-esteem.
Why aren't we taking these statistics more seriously?
With so many fun ways to add movement into our lives, there's
really no excuse not to. Walking, jumping, running, swimming, skating, skiing, biking, aerobics, ballet, belly dancing,
home equipment, even hula hooping ... It doesn't matter how you
choose to lose body fat, just add some movement to your life!
